About Secret Kitchen

Already famous amongst close friends and famiiy for his exquisite deserts and family catering, Secret Kitchen’s head chef Simon Myers was secretly planning to launch his own ‘outside’ catering company with a full range of cooking styles. As an experienced patisserie chef, Simon was looking for an opportunity to grow his repertoire and create full menus in a range of styles; and so, Secret Kitchen grew from an idea discussed amongst friends around the kitchen table, into a creative catering company, the reputation of whose Chef is firmly established in North London.

Secret Beginnings

The first task to find a venue in which to create secret kitchen, and develop the concept of home and function catering that was not attached to a specific venue.

Simon’s passion is to create and oversee the entire event and ensures that everything from the shopping of locally sourced products to the design of the menu, cooking and overseeing of the event is under his auspices. Nothing is left to chance; Simon is personally responsible for all aspects of the event you choose. Simon will come to meet you to discuss all aspects of the menu etc.

Well known at Billingsgate and Borough Markets, Simon personally selects the fresh ingredients that are a signature of all his dishes.

Secret Kitchen was launched in 2006 and has grown from simply a man with a big ‘pink’ van to a business that is well known locally and throughout the London area.

Catering Background

Before embarking on his Secret Kitchen project, Simon specialized in patisserie, but has expanded his culinary repertoire to include a wide range of cooking styles. For Simon, fresh ingredients are key, and his seasonal menus reflect the best seasonal foods available, and as such not all aspects of the menus are available year round. Simon will devise menus to suit you with the best seasonal products in mind. Simon completed his City and Guilds in catering in Westminster College, Battersea Park, 1986
